I Built an AI Design Assistant (…kinda)
2025
So I got curious (and maybe a little lazy) and put together an AI design assistant using n8n. It generates logos, style guides, and gradient backgrounds like it’s working overtime at Canva.
Now, full honesty, the outputs are meh. They work, but they could look way better with smarter prompts and solid references. Basically, it’s proof-of-concept energy right now, not Dribbble-showcase material. Still, it’s fun to see what you can cobble together when you mix AI + automation.

This project wasn’t about making the next Figma-killer. It was about experimenting with workflows, chaining prompts, and seeing how far I could push n8n without breaking it. The assistant does the job- logo, style guide, gradient background in one go. If anything, it taught me that AI creativity heavily depends on your prompting game and having strong design references. Translation: garbage in = garbage out. Still, it’s a fun starting point, and I’ll keep tweaking it until it levels up from ‘design intern’ to ‘junior designer who actually vibes.
